Happy Birthday Whitney Houston

08/09/12, FEATURED

Born: August 9, 1963 – Died: February 11, 2012 Everything else in between was simply amazing. From her first taste of success on a duet with Teddy Pendergrass entitled “Hold Me” which appeared on his album, ‘Love Language’ back in 1984.Whitney shared her good times with musical hits like ‘I Will Always Love You’ and ‘I Have Nothing’ both from the hit movie The Bodyguard to ‘I Love the Lord’ in 1996 from the movie Preacher’s Wife. And lets us not forget when Houston performed “The Star Spangled Banner” at Super Bowl XXV at Tampa Stadium on January 27, 1991. Due to overwhelming response to her rendition, it was released as a commercial single and video of her performance, and reached the Top 20 on the US Hot 100, making her the only act to turn the national anthem into a pop hit of that magnitude.

Delighting her fans / audience from 1995 to 1997 with the movies Waiting to Exhale, The Preacher’s Wife, and Cinderella. To making us what her more with the release of ‘My Love Is Your Love’ and ‘Whitney: The Greatest Hits’ from 1998–2000. And inbetween all of that, life was happening; the good and the bad. From 2006–2012: she was returing to music with hits like ‘I Look to You,’ a tour and returning to film with the remake of Sparkle.

Oh Ms. Houston how we have enjoyed you being in our lives all those years… Thanks for sharing yours with us and HAPPY B’DAY GIRLFRIEND!!!
